Kandawgyi Nature Park or Kandawgyi Nature Garden is one of the most highlights in here is.Situation on Natmauk Road and Kandawgyi Kanpat Road, Kandawgyi Nature Park is a famous entertainment centre of the capital of Yangon. The perfect combination between the magnificent beauty of wild nature and the stunning artificial architecture create a great panorama. The total park’s area is 260 acres, divided into 2 parts: the Garden accounts for 110 acres and water areas make up 150 acres. 

The Garden is meticulous care with various beautiful flowers and large shady trees, especially a brilliant orchid garden nice all year round. The green of the vegetation and water surface brings relaxed and pleasant mood for visitors while strolling around the lake. Kandawgyi Nature Garden attracts the plenty of wildlife species, even the rare species of birds at risk of extinction in Southeast Asia like Spot-billed pelicans, Collared falconets and so on. Moreover, there are the children play-ground, Mini Zoo, the souvenir shops and many restaurants serving foreign travelers or families who go on trips at the weekend. Children and teenagers are usually attracted by the playgrounds and picnic areas because these spots are spacious and bright to play and organize group games.

If the Garden can show its whole beauty in daytime, evening is the time for the splendor of the Kandawgyi Royal Lake. The clear blue of the sky and the trees disappears give way to the twinkling stars and brilliant electric light. There is a walkway around the Lake where many people gather to admire the landscape. The most outstanding feature is Karaweik Hall – a modern impressive architecture in the heart of Kandawgyi Lake, built base on a mythical creature Karaweik. People often compare it as a rare yellow bird of the city.This whole construction was gilded with gold. When resonating with the light-filled art space, it makes a golden palace, a unique work of royal art. With 3 floors, the Hall is the wonderful place to hold ceremonies, important meetings or a romantic evening. Its beauty is the perfect combination of ancient tradition and modern civilization as well as the harmonious one between nature and human inspiration, but still not loses the tasteful style.
