National Herbal Park, Naypyidaw

Being 0.81 km2 large, National Herbal Park is situated near the Taungnyo Road in Naypyidaw, Myanmar. Besides thousands of herbal plants grown by the government, there are 3,065 plants of 208 rare species from Kachin, Kayah and Shan States and Sagaing, Taninthayi, Yangon and Ayeyawady Divisions; along with 8,425 plants of 424 species from Mon and Kayin States grown in the park. They are used in treatment of hypertension, diabetes, malaria and tuberculosis and other diseases. Because the goals of  Myanmar’s government when building this herbal park is protecting and preserving the herbs from depletion and extinction and keeping alive the country's traditional system of medicines. Іt opened in January 2008. Visitors are not required to pay the entrance fee.

Considered as the green lung of Naypyidaw, it is very ideal for you to have a short break to relax and rest when shopping, to jog every day or to visit a flower garden. Moreover, it is such a great place and beautiful garden for all the families and children to play or relax or even sit in the cafe. You can freely to lie on, play football or do many interesting activities on the clean and green grass without disturb. In addition to these advantages, there is a direct access to the entertainment area in the city. Long walking in the park can also refresh you from the city hustle.
