Yangon Arrival - City tour
Upon your arrival at Yangon International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and then transferred to your hotel for check in.
Afternoon is time for our half day Yangon city tour. Let's start with a stroll from colonial constructions to China town and Indian quarter. Next, prepare to the highlighted destinations of Yangon. It all starts with a visit to Chaukhtatgyi Temple which holds the biggest reclining Buddha statue in Southeast Asia. Afterwards, wander around Sule Pagoda which is Myanmar's oldest pagoda of 2,500 years old.
During the day, you attention might be caught by the spectacular image of Shwedagon Pagoda - patient, let's save the best for the last. When the sun sets, you will experience the wonder of this inspiring pagoda, being left breathless with its vivid color and sacred atmosphere.
After a long day, take a good night sleep at your hotel in Yangon.

Yangon - Flight to Nyaung U - Bagan excursion
After having breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a domestic flight to Nyaung U. As you arrive, we will drive you to your hotel in Bagan to check in. After that, discover Bagan - the land of thousands pagodas, one after another among green bushes. Start our trip by visiting Shwezigon Pagoda, the first gold pagoda built in Burma enshrining Gautama Buddha's relics and Kyansittha Cave Temple which some of its frescoes depict the 1287 invasion of Mongul soldiers to Bagan. Next, move to a range of temples: Myinkaba's Gubyaukgyi - an Indian style pagoda built in 1113 whose exteriors are still in good condition; Htilominlo, meaning "blessings of the three worlds", with four Buddha images facing four directions on its first floor; and Ananda, the home of four huge Buddha standing statues - each faces one of the four cardinal directions.
In the afternoon, our trip to Bagan's most remarkable temples continue with exotic horse cart to get through areas inaccessible by car, and we come to these following: Nan Paya Temple, one among three pagodas built from sandstones in Bagan and also one of its largest pagodas; Manuha Temple, a two-storey rectangular construction containing three sitting Buddha images and a statue of Buddha accessing Nirvana; and Dhammayangyi - the largest temple of Bagan consisting of two parallel corridors and two antechambers. At the end of today trip, enjoy sunset at Shwesandaw Pagoda, the second highest pagoda in Bagan with a cylindrical bell-like stupa on top.

After having breakfast, wander around Nyaung U market and then walk to Phaw Saw village to see how locals live their life. Next, move to Minnanthu village to visit two of its pagodas: Lemyethna Temple whose name means 'four-sided pagoda' as it owns four entrances at four cardinal directions - each one leads to a giant pillar holding four Buddha images; and Payathonzu Temple - containing three temples joint via narrow passages, its name means 'temple of three Buddhas'. Stop by local lacquer ware workshop to observe how skilled craftsmen make this part of Bagan's fame.
In the afternoon, visit Bagan Archaeological Museum where you can learn a lot about the history, people and culture of Myanmar as well as Buddhism through a rich diversity of exquisite Buddha images and huge sandstone inscriptions. Then, head to Myinkaba for Gubyaukgyi Temple which is Bagan's oldest pagoda with well preserved exteriors up to this day and Manuha Temple - a two-storey rectangular edifice containing three sitting Buddha images and a statue of Buddha accessing Nirvana.
Among the dim light of setting sun, as you enjoy soft drinks, take a boat ride down the Ayeyarwaddy River.

Bagan - Flight to Mandalay - Mandalay
After having breakfast, you will be transferred to Nyaung U Airport for a domestic flight to Mandalay, the last capital of the Myanmar Kingdom before the 1885 Britain's annexation and also the heart of Burmese culture. Upon arrival, take an hour drive to the city center, passing by the green countryside. Along the way, drop by Mahamuni Buddha Temple, one of the three holiest destinations in Myanmar, the home for the gigantic gold-gilded Mahamuni statue and local workshop making puppet, tapestries and gold leaves. As you arrive at the hotel, check in and store your luggage.
In the afternoon, continue visiting Mandalay's Buddhist constructions: Shwenandaw Monastery - literally means Golden Palace Monastery, famous for its delicate teak carvings; and Kuthodaw Pagoda which holds the world's biggest book and 729 slabs of marble carved with Buddhist scriptures. Lastly, drive on top of Mandalay to enjoy the panoramic view of the city in sunset.

Enjoy breakfast served at your hotel before joining the today tour of discovering some former Burmese capitals near Mandalay: Amarapura and Inwa (also known as Ava). At Amarapura - Burma's capital in the 18th and 19th century, partly experience monks' life through their meal time at Mahagandayon Monastery. Next, explore Inwa – Burmese Kingdom's capital from the 14th to 19th century - on horse cart, passing through relics of old stupas and palaces lying among green paddies. Access Bagaya Kaung whose structure was entirely built from teak and climb up Namyin Watch Tower to have a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
In the afternoon, head to the top of Sagaing Hill, a picturesque destination about 20 kilometers away from Mandalay - Myanmar's center of Buddhist faith at present days. On the way up, caught into your eyes are a wide range of pagodas, nunneries and monasteries. As the sun is about to set, take a stroll on U Bein Bridge - the world's most extended teak bridge built hundreds years ago.

After having breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Heho, a town of Taunggyi District, Shan State. Being the largest administrative division of Myanmar, Shan State is the home of several hill tribes still holding their tradition, with fresh air and romantic scenery. Upon airport arrival, our guide and driver will take you to Nyaung Shwe and stop at Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, a red painted construction built entirely from teak served as an education institution for monks.
Next, we will use private motorboat to take you to Inle Lake, one of the most attractive destinations in Myanmar. Discover how amazingly beautiful the lake is; catch sight of scenic floating gardens, villages, and pagodas nearby, with dreamy high hill as background; and observe Intha people's one-of-a-kind talent of rowing by only one leg. Visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda, one of the principal shrines in Myanmar, presenting the most extraordinary Buddha images.
Afterward, drop by local workshops making silk, cotton, lotus weaving, and blacksmith shop to get the honest sense of local life. When your visits are done, use motorboat to head to your hotel located on the lakeside for check in.

After having breakfast, start your full day of sightseeing at local floating market where various goods made by Shan State's hill tribe people can be found. Then, sail across a small canal for about 40 minutes to reach Indein village located at the lake's western bank. As you arrive, take a march on a covered stairway leading up to see the ancient stupas as well as its surrounding settings - which is quite worthy, bringing you a tranquil and nostalgic feeling.
In the afternoon, visit Nga Phe Kyaung which is much known as 'Jumping Cat Monastery' with its cats taught to jump through hoops and expressive Buddha images of different styles. On the way back to the hotel, satisfy your eyes by scenes of lush green floating gardens dotted with tomato plants. Coming back to the hotel, spend the rest of the day as you wish.

Inle Lake - Heho - Yangon
After breakfast, check out of your hotel, leave Inle Lake and head to the airport for a flight to Yangon. Prepare to continue exploring Yangon in the afternoon.
