Inle Extensive Exploration

Upon arrival at Heho Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Nyaung Shwe by our guide and driver. Check in hotel and store your luggage before taking a bicycle ride around this beautiful town. Explore the markets and Buddhist sites in town, and then head to the eastern shores of the lake, five kilometers from the town center. There, you will catch sight of locals planting or harvesting rice, corn, cabbages, sugar cane and much more - depend on the time you come here. Next, access Red Mountain Estate which is among Myanmar's best vineyards. Imported from France, the grapes are planted and harvested by Pa Oh people. Drive the bike back to your hotel at Nyaung Shwe to spend the rest of the day.

Wake up early to observe local monks in red doing their alms collection through the peaceful streets of Nyaung Shwe (around 6.30).

After breakfast, we will head to eastern part of Inle Lake, driving through railway and small Pa Oh's villages. Make a stop at Taunggyi Market where various local products can be found. We will continue to Kakku, a marvelous site with 2548 antiquated pagodas, located 42 kilometers south of Taungyi. Spend some of your time to discover the wonder of this relic site. After that, visit nearby villages to experience the lives and customs there. Drive back to your hotel.

Stay overnight in Nyaung Shwe.

Have breakfast at your hotel before join in our full day Inle excursion. Firstly, take a cyclo drive to Nyaung Shwe's port and get on a private motorboat. Sail toward the lake's western part to visit Khaung Dine Village where you wander around and access workshops making soya products and more.

Proceed to the lake's center, passing through villages of Intha people - the prominent inhabitants of Inle. They built houses on stilts, floating gardens from mud, bamboo poles and water hyacinth strips. Their fishermen own a unique talent of rowing by only one leg. Afterwards, access Phaungdawoo Pagoda which is home to 5 sacred Buddha statues, drop by the silk weaving village of Inn Paw Khon and a cheroot making workshop.

In the afternoon, we will take you to Indein, visiting Pa Oh Village. Take a stroll around the village and explore Alaung Sitthou, an alluring area full of ancient stupas with great lake views. Come back to your hotel and spend the rest of the day as you wish. Stay overnight in Inle.

After breakfast, take a 3 hour boat ride to the southernmost shore of Inle and visit Sagar, an area still poorly discovered by tourists. En route, stop at a 5-day market, or feed unique water bird species. As you arrive, contemplate Sagar's stupas under the water - there are 108 of them.

Next, head to Thaya Gone Village and discover the production of rice wine. Try out some sip of wine if you want to. Then, come to Sae Khaung Village, enter underground kilns to see the making of pottery by locals. Transfer to the western part of Sagar and visit Tar Kaung, a complex of over 200 stupas, a great spot to take photo.

About 2.30 PM, back to Inle's main section on a different route, contemplate different settings, and different activities of locals on the lake shore. Rice noodles and spun cotton are dried under the afternoon sun; kids make their way back home.

Enjoy the morning on your own before transferring to the Heho Airport for the flight back to Yangon. End of service.
